Morphe X Jaclyn Hill

So I’m a little late to the party with this one but I’m so glad I decided to join. I asked for this palette for my birthday last week and I’ve been obsessed with it ever since. The second I got this palette I swatched it up both of my arms and instantly knew that Jaclyn had really taken her time making every single one of the shades were perfect. Apart from the four bright colour in the corner, I would use all the shades. However, syaing that I’ve some amazing tutorials on youtube that have made me want to slather blue eyeshadow all over my lids. 

Below I have swatched each line individually and photographed them using natural light and flash. And may I just add that these eyeshadows swatched like an absolute dream.

Superdrug Haul And Review

Last week when I was ill and had nothing better to do , I went a little bit crazy on the Superdrug website. But so far so good and I am loving the majority of these products.

I purchased this collection eyeliner because I had only ever used pen eyeliners and wondered if this would be any easier. I’ve given it a go and it is slightly easier. This is extremely black and lasts really well. If your on the hunt for a good and affordable eyeliner I would highly recommend this collection one.

Of course I had to by two collection lasting perfection concealers. I have used this concealer for years , it’s full coverage and doesn’t look patchy on the skin. I would say this is my all time favorite drug store concealer. Everyone needs to try  it.

I have just realised I went a little bit collection mad! But this is the last thing form them. I bought this eye shadow palette because I already own the nude one and use all the time. I’ve recently been on a hunt for an affordable smokey eye palette  and I think this is then one. I haven’t used this yet but as soon as I do i will give you an update. I’ve been wanting to get my hands on this cream contour  palette for ages but it’s constantly been out of stock. When I saw that it was in stock on the website I added it to my basket straight away. I used this twice now and love it! the contour and highlights blend so easily and seamlessly. I like to use the lightest contour shade , the lightest highlight shade and the strobe balm. I would recommend trying this product.

I’ve seen a few people talking about Miss Sporty makeup and thought I would give it a go. I picked up this bronzer and have instantly regretted it ! As first glance the bronzer had gold shimmer through it and this really transfers to the skin , I mean if you want to walk round looking like a glitter ball this would be perfect for you. I think I will be using this as an eyeshadow from now on.

Finally i picked an old favorite , the real techniques miracle complexion sponge. I use this everyday and I absolutely love it. I have purchased this as a replacement for my old one. everyone needs one of these in their lives . I use mine to blend in my foundation and concealer for a natural finish.

School Morning Routine …

7:00 – Alarm goes off 

7:00 – 7:05 – Check social media /phone 

Who doesn’t check their phone first thing in the morning. I like to go on twitter, Facebook, Instagram and snap chat. I could honestly spend an hour checking my phone but I limit myself to 5 minutes.

7:05 – 7:15 – Bathroom 

As soon as I get out of bed I need to brush my teeth ! It makes me feel clean and helps me get my day kick started. In this time I also use the toilet and do my skincare so that I’m ready to apply my makeup.

7:15- 7:30 – makeup 

For school I try and keep my makeup quite simple, my school allows us to wear as much makeup as we want but to be honest at quarter past seven in the morning  I can’t be bothered to do a full blown smokey. If you would like to see my everyday school makeup routine let me know.

7:30- 7:40 – get dressed 

I’m in sixth form so luckily we don’t have to wear a school uniform. As much as I contemplate wearing my Pajamas to school I normally throw on the first things in my draw which is usually leggings and a hoodie. However I do occasionally make an effort and wear jeans.

7:40- 7:50 – tidy room 

I like to leave my room tidy in the morning so that when I get home I can get on with school work and not waste time with things such as making my bed. However if I end up spending too much time on my phone or doing my makeup I have to cut this step out.

7:50 – head down stairs 

Finally I head down stairs this is when I see my parents before they go to work , have breakfast and  make my lunch. For breakfast I normally keep it simple and have toast, cereal, fruit  or yogurt. It’s currently really cold at the moment so I normally need to de-ice my car , so i can leave on time and not be late for school.

8:20 – leave for school

My New Nail Discovery

 

I’ve always painted my nails using regular nail varnish and up until now it’s worked well for me. Whilst I was sales shopping I came across a gel nail kit reduced to £10.00 s and decided to give it a go and I wouldn’t go back. The gel doesn’t take much longer than normal nail varnish and it lasts so much longer.

 

I currently have a classic red and a blushed pink nail varnish but there is every colour available you could think of ! As well as colour changing ! Yes you heard it colour changing. Most importantly it is so easy to take off , either soak it in warm water or use the remover that comes with the kit. I honestly think it could change the way I paint my nails forever.

My New Love ..

Over the past month I have really fallen in love with Bio Oil and use it everyday in my skincare routine.  I can honestly say I don’t think I could live without it in my skincare! The bottle says it’s a skincare specialist for scars, stretch marks, uneven skin tone, ageing skin and dehydrated skin. However I use to remove my makeup everyday by massaging it over my face and then removing it with a damp flannel. It works really well at removing all my makeup and leaving skin feeling fresh. I also use it on my face a lips to keep them hydrated. I get really dry patches on my face and this help to keep the hydrated and stops makeup clinging to them. I like to use it on my lips instead of lip balm cause it keeps them hydrated. It also looks really well under liquid lipsticks and stops them drying out your lips and  clinging to the dry patches. I could recommend this product enough! And even better it’s only £19.00 from Superdrug.

Makeup Storage Upgrade Ideas…

I currently have my makeup stored in an IKEA Mickie Desk. I love how this works ,the one long draw has plenty of space for a small to medium makeup collection and the top surface allows for extra storage for pots of brushes , mirrors and small acrylic draws etc.  However due to exams I need to be able to use my desk as a desk. So I have decided to purchase the Alex  drawers also from IKEA.

Lots of youtubers and beauty bloggers have the Alex 9 drawers but I feel like the 5 drawers will be plenty for my medium beauty collection. If you would like to see my makeup collection please let me know I will be sure to add that to my list of future blog posts. Not only will this unit give me lots of room for my growing makeup collection but give me space to store other items as well.  I plan on using the top three drawers for my makeup and the bottom two for electronics and blog related items.

November Beauty Favorites

Hey guys and welcome to my November beauty favorites. This month I’ve been loving so much but I’ve narrowed it down to my top few favs.

The first thing I’ve been loving is The Real Techniques buffing brush and contour brush. I’ve owned these for a while now but always chose to use my miracle complexion sponge because it just gives the most beautiful finish. However the other week I was playing around with some new makeup and I decided to put my foundation on with the buffing brush . I’ve honestly fallen back in love with it. As for the contour brush I use this nearly everyday for blending in my concealer and setting my under eyes. These two brushes are something that every beauty collection needs.

The second thing I’m loving is The NYX Soft Matte Lip cream in Stockholm. It is a gorgeous brown toned nude that complements pretty much every look. I love the way this sits on my lips and for a matte lip product it is not at all drying. I have worn this nearly everyday this month and am 100% going to buy some more for my collection.

The final thing I’ve enjoyed this month is the Nivea Post Shaving Balm. I love to use this after I shave for a lovely soft finish … Just kidding. I use this as a primer and it helps to keep makeup on all day. I notice such a big difference when I wear this my makeup sits nicely, doesn’t go patchy throughout the day and lasts a lot longer. If you have a problem with your makeup lasting , then this is the solution to your problem. And can I just say this is so affordable , so if you want a new primer or are thinking of trying a primer for the first time , I would pick this.

Sleek Matte Me Lipstick

This matte liquid lipstick from Sleek is described as a ultra smooth matte lip cream and it is exactly that! It is so thin so applies easily and evenly whilst being extremely pigmented so there is no need to apply layer after layer. I find applying liquid lipsticks difficult but this is so easy that even I can do it.

In the image above I am wearing the shade Birthday Suit, it is a beautiful nude that I wear on an everyday basis for school, however it would also be stunning paired with a bold eye. I am 100% going to purchase the other colours in this range! And the best news is they’re only £4.99 from super drug!

Makeup Revolution Iconic 1 Review

The revolution iconic 1 contains some beautiful shades that can make simple day time looks as well as some more intense looks perfect for a night out. The palette contains 3 matte shades and 9 shimmer shades. The eye shadows have a nice pigmentation and blend easily to create beautiful eye shadow looks.

I use pretty much all the shades in this palette except the two blue shades at the right hand side of the palette. In my opinion if the two blue shade were replaced with a matte black and a matte dark brown this palette would be my dream palette. I use this palette nearly everyday and I love it! In the future I would like to upgrade to the Urban Decay Naked Palette which is very similar shade wise.
