4 simple ways to improve your skin

– Apply hand cream at least twice a day. Hands are one of the first parts of our body to age. A simple way to prevent pre ageing is to keep your hands hydrated. I parent this by applying hand cream several times a day , usually after I’ve washed my hands. My favourite hand creams are from soap and glory and the body shop.

– Drink lots of water. I’m the worst for not drinking enough water, I sit at my desk all day drinking coffee but forget to drink water. Drinking water helps to hydrate the skin, reduce under eye circles and prevent tiredness. I like to use a bottle with times down the side to help encourage me to drink , hydrate m8 have a really good range.

– Always remove your makeup ! I know everyone says it but it’s so important to always take your makeup off, even if it’s with the dreaded makeup wipe. My favourite makeup types of makeup removers are balms and micellar water. Let me know if you would like to see an updated skincare routine including removing my makeup.

– Take time to understand your skin. My skin type is oily combination. Knowing your skin types allows you to buy products that are designed for your skin. This not only helps me when buying skincare items but also makeup products, I know I need a matt foundation and to always powder my face. My Primark Essentials …

When I go to primark , which to be honest with you is far too often , there some items that I always pick up.

The first thing is face wipes. Primark sell face wipes in a pack of two for £1.00. I try not to use face wipes everyday but they are handy to have around. I use them when I’m doing my makeup to clean my hands and any spillages as well as occasionally taking my makeup off. I know you can pick up face wipes pretty much anywhere but I love the Primark ones.

Second on my essentials list is cotton pads. Primark sell these in a pack for 50p. I use them to take my makeup off and tone my face. The Primark ones work wonders and are as cheap as chips. I very rarely use any other cotton pads.

I always pick a pack of fluffy socks. I am a really cold person so I normally have a pair of fluffy socks on. They are cheap , last well and most importantly keep me warm. I wear them around the house and when I’m wearing boots. I have a whole draw full in my house.

Finally I always pick up some pyjamas. I know this isn’t really an essential but I love pyjamas and I wear them every night, therefore I can justify buying more. I love that Primark usually have Disney ones and they are very affordable. I probably have too many but it keeps me happy.

I’d love to know what your Primark essentials are, let me know in the comments or on twitter.

Skin Therapy Haul

I recently purchased some new skincare from Wilkos. I had never seen this brand any where before and decided to give it a go. The brand is Skin Therapy , I believe it is a Wilko own brand range. All the items retailed for only 95 pence. So for that price I couldn’t not try them, I currently use Liz Earle products , so if these are any good I could end up saving myself a fortune.

There were two different ranges , one for sensitive skin and another for problem skin. I picked up the Tea Tree gentle facial scrub , Tea Tree moisturizing lotion and The sensitive skin cleanser. The packaging is very simple and sleek.

The cleanser is fragrance , alcohol and colour free , so would work well on sensitive skin and not aggravate it.  Both products from the problem skin line smell of tea tree but it is not over powering.

From first impressions these products seem to be similar to most skincare I’ve used , let me know if you have used any of the skincare from this line or would like me to update you on how these products work for me. My New Love ..

Over the past month I have really fallen in love with Bio Oil and use it everyday in my skincare routine.  I can honestly say I don’t think I could live without it in my skincare! The bottle says it’s a skincare specialist for scars, stretch marks, uneven skin tone, ageing skin and dehydrated skin. However I use to remove my makeup everyday by massaging it over my face and then removing it with a damp flannel. It works really well at removing all my makeup and leaving skin feeling fresh. I also use it on my face a lips to keep them hydrated. I get really dry patches on my face and this help to keep the hydrated and stops makeup clinging to them. I like to use it on my lips instead of lip balm cause it keeps them hydrated. It also looks really well under liquid lipsticks and stops them drying out your lips and  clinging to the dry patches. I could recommend this product enough! And even better it’s only £19.00 from Superdrug.
